The strong personality of Verdejo and the adhesion of other varieties, as well as a vineyard that has learned to survive the harshness of its environment to deliver the best of itself to the wine, shape the profile of the white wines of Rueda.
In 2003, Señorío de Nava acquired a small winery built in 1910 in the town of Nava del Rey and entered for the first time in the Denomination of Origin Rueda. This new project, which today is completely consolidated, is a commitment to the great value of the Verdejo grape.
Each new vintage is made a manual harvest and a careful elaboration, making a destemming-squeezed at the entrance of the clusters in the cellar to subsequently start a blood must-have after the cold maceration with the skins.
This makes it possible to obtain musts of a pale yellow color with greenish tones that are intended for meticulous vinification in a stainless steel tank.
