The great potential at the beginning of the eighties, of the then unknown Ribera del Duero, did not go unnoticed by some winemakers of Leonese origin who decided to bet on it. Thus, in 1986, Señorío de Nava was founded, becoming one of the first wineries to belong to the Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero.
Since then and under the name of Bodegas Señorío de Nava, wines have been made from the most important appellations of origin in Castilla y León, Ribera del Duero, Rueda and Toro.
The Denomination of Origin Ribera del Duero as we know it today, arises after the initiative of a series of winegrowers and winemakers concerned with promoting the vineyards and the quality of the wines of the area.
Before the creation of the D.O. Ribera del Duero, this region was already known as an exceptional land for the production of unique wines.

The Denomination of Origin Rueda is one of the few European wine zones specialized in the production of white wine as well as in the protection and development of its native variety, the Verdejo.
It is also one of the D.O. Oldest winemaking in the current autonomy of Castilla y León. Specifically, it was created in 1980, and initially it only produced white wines.
In the Middle Ages, the wines of the Toro Denomination of Origin were highly appreciated, being granted royal privileges that allowed their commercialization in cities where the sale of other wines was prohibited. Due to the characteristics that made it last and be preserved on long trips, these wines flooded royal wineries and ships that reached the lands of the New World.
There are numerous documents that throughout these years regulate and recognize the cultivation of vines and its economic importance in the city, but it is May 26, 1987 when the bull is granted the Denomination of Origin for the first time.
